Our external painting work extends to all external surfaces. From everything to rooflines and guttering through to masonry, pebbledash and concrete. All external windows and doors and general timber work. External painting requires a knowledge of painting application to make sure the paint system does not break down (flaking).
We use only the best external paint like Dulux Weathershield system and Tikkurila high performance elastomeric masonry finish and alkyd undercoat and gloss. This is important to choose the right paint for the right situation. Just as important is the preparation of the old surface, from burning off flaking paint to providing a good key for the next coat.
Fillers and mastics are also important and the Dulux Weathershield use a weathershield flexible filler designed specially for Dulux Weathershield. Other high performance fillers are the Toupret range of cement based and Touprelith F fillers and their woodwork filler is excellent. Paintable frame sealant like Dunlop Pro decor range and Den Braven are also used to seal the timber window against the masonry.
We can use all techniques of application including brush, roller and airless spraying. Airless spraying is particularly effective for spraying uneven surfaces like unpainted pebbledash and roughdash rendering.
Most domestic painting can be from access plant like ladders and steps but for larger houses and commercial buildings scaffolding would need to be put in place. We work with scaffolding contractors to have this arranged for you. Scaffolding can have an alarm set on them to prevent unauthorised access to your property.
So our experience is broad and covers all external painting work on all types of buildings. We also believe is giving great customer support and our quotations and advice are free of charge.
